Pros

This is a fully remote company, so there's no commute.

Cons

Zelis acquired dozens of US companies over the last 10-15 years, which is fine. But then they did a major re-org and mixed different teams around, which is also fine. What isn't fine is that they did stacked rankings and put the lowest performers into "US support" with India teams. Then once those India teams learned how do to the role, that lower performer was fired. Stay with me here. You're not safe even if you're a top performer. The top performers were moved to a new team as well. Now that they previous tier is done being offshored to India, Zelis is working on offshoring the middle and top performers too. There is no safe job in America for Zelis. They want to offshore everyone. It's not AI taking your job, it is executive decisions by top leadership to replace American workers with offshore workers. This is not India's fault. They are just trying to make a living. I understand that. The issue is leadership taking all these US companies and turning them into foreign companies. On top of that, executive leadership is having an active stake in major software projects that they do not understand. They are constantly changing direction of who is in charge, what team is doing what. Every software developer, engineer, database architect, you name it is not happy with this. We are taking 3x as long to meet deadlines because we have to train offshore teams. There is a ton of in-house knowledge and legacy systems that offshore teams do not know well. And once they do, you will be laid off. Doesn't matter how long you've worked here or how well you did on X team or Y project. If you get acquired by Zelis, start applying for jobs to leave ASAP. Any developer or engineer who leaves is being replaced with offshore, India teams.

Pros

- They allowed remote work for some people

Cons

There are mostly negatives and not really any positives. - Remote work is selective for employees - Very Political Environment - Not a Merit Based Culture - Lack of Work Life Balance - Job Held Against Employees to Motivate - Culture is Based on Who You Know - Speaking Up About Issues Leads Termination or Threats of Termination
