Pros

The people from the former Akibia days and that's about it. SInce Zensar took over, the company has changed for the worse.

Cons

Terrible leadership, no strategy (extremely reactive culture), zero accountability. Communication is abominable. Employees, sorry associates, are viewed as disposable. Why hire US workers when the work can be done for a fraction of the cost off shore? No regard for quality.

Pros

Mid-management and supervisors are supportive. If you are starting your career, maybe working at Zensar can help you put your foot in the door.

Cons

I worked as a full-time employee at Zensar, and it wasn't the best experience for the following reasons: 1- The salary is about 20% less than the market average. 2- I was hired to work on one project, but ended up doing random short contracts at different teams. This is not good for career growth. 3- Zensar will hire you as a full-time employee, which gives the illusion of stability. In reality, they will dump you if the client ends the assignment for any reason. 4- The contract you have to sign says you have to give one month's notice before you leave, but they reserve the right to terminate you at will! I didn't pay attention to that at the beginning as they rushed me to sign the paperwork to join. 5- Zensar doesn't provide training and won't pay for education/certifications. 6- You will be asked to help with tasks out of the scope of the project you are assigned to. The extra hours are not billable of course.

Pros

Management at Zensar is technically incompetent, but if you're just looking for a paycheck with minimal work, it's very easy to get in and very hard to get fired Work-life balance is pretty good when there's not much work to be done which is often the case

Cons

Petty, toxic work environment where the most important skills are looking busy, sabotaging others, scapegoating failed projects, and boot-licking to senior management A very bad look on your CV and it may ruin your future career prospects Laughable pay and benefits with no promotions or raises HR incentivizes employees to write fake positive reviews to counteract negative ones If HR finds out you're trying to leave, they will make every effort to screw you out of benefits and pay
