Pros

The company seemed like a great place to work!

Cons

They sent me a job offer, I negotiated the salary and before my start they retracted the job offer after I declined other jobs to accept that one!

Technology Sucks!

Pros

Good coworkers and company benefits - except 401k is not matched.

Cons

Where should I start? The platform is old. Too many bugs. Zift is acquiring companies and shutting down the acquired technologies and trying to move those customers over to ZIft's 123 platform. It is a disaster. Many customers are leaving. The CEO is suffering from a roll up hallucination. Engineering teams are disjointed - lacks coordination and an integrated vision. Competitors are introducing many new features and getting ahead.

Pros

Good dev team, with some skilled team members. The company used to provide free breakfast for the developers. Potential to grow the product and become the market leader with improvements in the upper management for the dev team.

Cons

A lot if micromanagement on the dev side even though management works remotely. Management is really out of touch with the product and the team. Unfortunately, a lot of racial tension (dev upper management hasn’t heard of title VII). After acquiring a new company, every minority developer left within 3 months of the acquisition. Project managers not far behind. If you are a minority, don’t even try to take a day off to go to the doctor, you will end up with 30 emails demanding you come back in to work. Or maybe management will ask one of the other devs to keep an eye on you and report back to make sure you are actually working. Either way, if you are brown, run fast. You’ll probably get paid more somewhere else anyway.
