Pros

Discounts on banking products, and special mortgage rates for employees make a nice perk. Some managers offer flexible schedules and a variaty of job duties; but each manager does it differently so you may not have flexibility if your manager doesn't want to give it to you.

Cons

Terrible medical insurance, only High Deductible Plans are available. Its fine if you don't get sick but if you need to go to a doctor expect a minimum 6000 deductible. Management does not have to many teams that are tightly knit; if you have a problem better figure it out on your own because no one will assist you. There isn't much comradery between employees and the company doesn't seem to see its IT department as a priority.

Maybe in Utah, not California

Pros

Headquartered in Utah, they have a great presence. In California it's under the name "California Bank & Trus" and the management there is the worst in the industry. Bad public relations and horrible staff - mainly the La Mesa branch - staff is a nightmare! The senior management have their head in the sand for the whole bank - especially San Diego in general. They are very disconnected to headquarters and run under the assumption that they are still a community bank with pride - wrong!

Cons

The bank is very dysfunctional and there is no communication between the bank channel and the investment division - there is no feeling of unity and no cameraderie or growth potential. The real problem is the San Diego bank - Calif Bank and Trust who feel they aren't part of Zions and run the show with disdain and it starts from the top down.
