Pros

The salary seems higher then industry AVG

Cons

Culture SUCKS. People tend to only look out for themselves. Leadership expects you to put in 60+ hours a week if team results are low, you dont get paid OT or bonuses. Commission payouts make no sense & they always try to talk around how its calculated. Very low amounts of team work & your teams don't ever work together.

Thanks for spending the time to leave a review about working at ZI. As you know, our culture is fast-paced and yes it’s demanding but we are making great strides in our learning and developing offerings to ensure our employees thrive and can find a great work-life balance. Having to work OT and not getting paid is not tolerated nor condoned here. And we've asked managers to be more intentional with how they are approving overtime. Should you have issues with your commission checks, please reach out confidentially to your Human Resources Business Partner.

Tremendous Growth Potential, Equal Risk

Pros

There are so many growth opportunities for employees who are willing to come in with a good attitude and give their job 200%. The onsite kitchens are always stacked with snacks to keep you nourished throughout the day. The CEO is still as active and committed to the company's success as he was on day 1. The benefits at ZoomInfo -- if you have space to use them -- are very generous, including unlimited PTO, health insurance options, and a 401(k) employee match. The organization has many employee resource groups (ERGs) and is committed to nurturing diversity, equity, and inclusion.

Cons

There performance bar is set high at ZoomInfo --in addition to being nervous about layoffs, you should also be concerned about the security of your job if you aren't consistently exceeding your goals. The CEO and leadership sentiment of, "if you don't like here, then leave" is a cold approach that feels very shut off to feedback. There are leaders at the company who have been there since the organization was a small startup, and they're typically the ones who contribute to a sour workplace culture. ZoomInfo has a rigorous hiring process now, but the people who were grandfathered into their leadership roles have not been held to the same standards. The HR department is an example of departments that were founded based on long-term employees -- the core HR team is comprised of personal best friends, which makes the department feel cliquey. When it comes to the rest of the HR roles, there seems to be a high level of turnover/layoffs, and when HRBPs join the organization, they aren't equipped to take action on employee concerns. This was evidenced by my own personal experiences reporting issues to HR (the lack of action regarding my reports ultimately resulted in my voluntary departure from the organization) as well as the experiences of other former employees.
