I can’t even tell you how much of a scummy company this is. Then again, you should be able to tell from a company that solicits fake reviews. I should’ve gotten up and left when I was made to wait 40 minutes for my initial interview.
Health benefits we’re extremely expensive and I was lied to about medical plan qualifications for families. The insurance is employee sponsored only because in their words “to keep premium costs down”
Inconsistent raises and was cheated out of a holiday bonus twice.
They have this ridiculous policy in place where if you request off or call out the day before/after a paid company holiday, you won’t be paid for the holiday. Also, during you probationary 90 day period if you were just hired, not only do you have to wait that long till you can apply for medical benefits, they won’t pay you for paid company holidays that fall in that time frame.
If you don’t play the company shill game, you’re going to have a difficult time here.
Unprofessional management that exist with one of the most toxic environments I’ve ever dealt with.
The work environment is the equivalent of working in a dungeon. I was made to work in an often freezing, tiny office with 5 other people, with outside reps coming in and out making it hard to be productive. At times they made it seemed I was rude for not stopping what I was doing and acknowledge their existence when all I was trying to do was get my work done and not partake in their conversations.
My manager was uninspiring, and at times unprofessional with him clipping his fingernails at his desk. Witnessed him get into a shouting match with cursing at one of the maintenance managers over the thermostat being set so low.
You’ll be “encouraged” to participate in these pointless marketing meetups. You’ll be there for the whole day and “encouraged” to participate in lovely team building exercises.
Mangers discouraged independent decision making. All decisions had to go through company head. He loves to talk about himself, with an inflated sense of self-worth, borderline incredibly narcissistic attitude and will talk down to you if you display more insight than him.
His right hand enabled the toxic environment by, instead of dealing with problematic employees, he’d move them to different areas of the company and would promote employees that were not qualified to be in their positions in the first place. He was also seemed very quick to anger if you get on his bad side. He’d often yell and displayed behavior I was very taken aback by, for I had never seen him like that. Don’t be fooled by his “easygoing” facade.
In a knee jerk reaction, the company furloughed much of my department at the height of COVID, and made everyone pay their insurance premiums in monthly installments. Since we weren’t getting paychecks, we had to take money from our unemployment. They got 2 months worth from me, then in a scummy move they decided to lay me off as soon as they got my money. Then again, when you commit MediCare fraud, I guess you got to pay for your lawyers somehow.
