Pros

accesso is a fantastic place to begin and build your career. Most of the leaders are going to have your back and will truly listen to you, your opinion matters. You are more than just a number at accesso, you're a person. accesso has some of the most talented people I've ever worked with. It's a fun environment and the team cares about you. If you get the chance to work on the HR team, take that chance! Coke Freestyle machines in office, expresso machines, all sorts of free snacks and goodies, team outings, fun Fridays, fantastic holiday parties and more, can really make a difference in the joy people feel at work.

Cons

Every company is going to have it ups and downs, accesso is no exception. They've got a lot of things that need to be addressed technically (I believe the team is doing their best to address that), but that takes time and unfortunately some people don't want to stick it out. If you're someone who can't handle slower change, don't come here. If you are someone who wants to be a part of something that is evolving and are willing to stick it out, I highly recommend accesso. Sometimes growth can be a bit harder within specific team and divisions.

Pros

I like all the responsibilities I was given. Approving timecards, handling the recruiting process, screening candidates.

Cons

The people who worked in my department were very immature. They are all kids.

Pros

- Great client portfolio and active projects For such a small company, the set of customers we have is impressive: SeaWorld, Cedar Fair, Carnival. The number of different industries that they are present in is surprising. We have clients that have vary from Theme Parks to Hospitality to Universities (and more). The platform has a huge amount of potential. It can be used by anyone that owns a large space. - Good opportunities for professional growth As with any startup, you start with a small staff that is talented and capable of wearing multiple hats. In a short span of time, you can experience what many would never see at a larger company. You are rarely ever pigeon-holed into a specific set of work that is boring or repetitive. Managers seem to listen and do make changes based on 1:1 feedback. - Office environment is good The office location is near lots of restaurants and most everything is within walking distance. Everyone is friendly and we all get along very well. People won't hesitate to ask you out to lunch or invite you out for happy hour on Fridays. It is a tight knit group. - Compensation / stock options very generous Certainly one of the biggest bonuses of joining a startup is the potential for a large windfall. Most startups do not succeed. In either case, choosing to join TE2 was an easy choice because the salary was still reasonable. Now with the Accesso acquisition, it is clear that leadership certainly was not aiming to shortchange anyone.

Cons

- Overload on meetings Trying to find time with team leaders is difficult. Dev leads and product owners are constantly being pinged from all directions. Through no fault of their own, they do eventually answer questions and address concerns. I've seen someone get pulled from their desk into a "command center" and then dragged out to the next room by someone else in the span of a few minutes. - Overly ambitious on client commitments With each team exposed equally to all clients, they get conflicting requirements and are forced to accommodate them all, with little room on deadlines. Often times, we will sign up for work and then later discover that the scope was larger than expected. To the dev team's credit though, they deliver to the best of the ability with the time given. - Unclear roles and responsibilities The only roles properly defined are for the Software Engineers. All other roles are either new to the company or barely defined. We have QA resources told to test external services or within each product. We have client leads that act as scrum masters, and architects that make product decisions. We have product owners coding prototypes for engineers.
