Pros

I came back here after several years away doing other things and working at other companies. The is next to no "office politics". Most people are keen to focus on the work that needs to be done. eGain is genuinely open to allowing you to try your hand at new things. All you need to bring is a willingness to work hard, and commit to ensuring quality. The friday evening social is an organic, fun event where you get to hang out with new people and make friends in other teams.

Cons

Work schedules are mostly regular, but depending on how much you take on, you may find yourself a little stressed. The success of cross-functional team efforts is entirely dependent on the individuals involved.

Pros

Work-life balance is good in patches of the year when there is not much work. The Rotation(UK, Germany and US) policy for the services and consulting departments might be lucrative for freshers. There are a few good people to work with but that is dicey given the level of bureaucracy. Team sizes are growing thereby giving some good managerial opportunities for people who want to take that path in their career.

Cons

Rotation has no meaning for experienced professionals. Sometimes the nights tend to stretch long and one might need to take calls at contemptible times of the day. All this pain for absolutely nothing since there are no acts from the higher management to incentivise hard work. Bad Appraisals. No growth within the firm. Promotions with no hike in salary just mean more work and similar pay. Routine work since the kind of problems handled are more or less the same in every project. Over all it is a very bad place to work if you are very young. A decent place if you are looking to settle for a low-paying rote job where you can excel by just turning up on time.
