Thank you for your feedback from your time with our Customer Support team. To support our high rate of growth, we continue to add to the team to ensure we have the staffing in place to provide a high level of customer service. With that said, work-life balance is important to us at ecobee, and our scheduling provides two consecutive off days every week. Our schedule in place is required to support customers throughout North America, and we are very transparent with the scheduling process through the hiring process. Our team is dedicated to continually improving and creating a great place to work for all of our employees, so we thank you for your feedback that will allow us to continue to do that.

Overworked

Pros

Kind people, remote work opportunity, stimulating projects, hands-on CEO

Cons

Everyone in this company is overworked. I've had multiple days where I've been in meetings the entire day. Not even a 10 minute break. I had to be late to some meetings because I needed to pee. Ecobee has an insane meeting culture where everything has to be done through a meeting, standing meetings, bi weekly meetings, weekly meetings, update meetings, check in meetings, get buy in through a meeting, get advice through a meeting. Absolutely no time to do the work. That gets pushed to the evenings and weekends. They have a laughable thing called "Focus Fridays" the one day they discourage meetings. One. Day. Doesn't even get honored most of the time. One of these days an employee will get pushed over the edge for overwork.
