Pros

Unfortunately a lot of the positives have been cut back or taken away completely.

Cons

The new CEO (promoted from CFO) only cares about numbers and has a very condescending approach. He has implemented a handful of changes that make no sense, harm employees and are killing the company’s culture almost overnight. The new bonus structure that was announced is extremely unethical. ISO grants were discontinued without notice. Now, the company needs to meet a goal to get a bonus. And get this - the folks doing all of the work (IC and lower level managers) earn a lower target bonus than the management team. It’s 10% if you have a “higher up” role and 5% for people doing the boots on the ground work. - Why do people at the bottom of the totem pole, who are doing all the work, get the least reward *if* the company meets goal? - This is incredibly backwards. If you want to incentivize the folks who you actually need to do the work that’s making change, don’t treat us like this when it comes to bonuses. Why was this not even across all levels? Benefits have been removed without warning, yet a company principle is to trust in transparency. - Flexible PTO is now capped, tracked, and micromanaged. Salaried employees are expected to clock in and out, have their time off micromanaged, but are also expected to stay “late” to make sure the work gets done. - Benefits that have been advertised for years were stripped away. Summer Fridays have been eliminated and parental leave has been reduced. - The timing is extremely short notice which has resulted in inequitable benefits across the team. Expectant mothers will have different benefits solely based on when they give birth. All of this in the name of — what? Losing the culture and work life balance this company has thrived on?

Pros

Few and far between now. WFH is all I can think of.

Cons

Management recently implemented some policy changes that wreaked havoc on families and individuals, and execs can’t give the time of day to even pretend that they care about the harm they’re causing for the sake of a few extra bucks. All of our previously generous perks are being removed and replaced by “hustle culture”. Bonus structure is non existent - one finally exists, but how convenient that we missed our Q1 company goals for the first time EVER since I’ve been here, and so now we won’t get the bonus because it’s an “all or nothing” structure. Median pay is not competitive and not aligned with today’s needs. Company acts like working from home is such a big perk that it justifies them being able to skimp out on every other detail of good employment. Execs have a “other companies have it worse than you” attitude towards all the changes and are genuinely acting like employees are the problem for being upset.
