Pros

Unlimited PTO (for now) Summer sweetness (also possibly going away)

Cons

There’s so much honestly. Most people in director positions and above are completely disconnected from their IC’s and even managers/senior managers. It all went south after Stefania left the company. They brought in a new CEO who was probably using ChatGPT for their decisions and managed to get fired within his first year and a half. This new CEO got rid of all the c-suite that made the company that it was. He alone ripped the rug from underneath the culture and now the company embodies fear to all employees. No one feels safe or secure in their positions. Every new c-suite position now has two titles to them, and for every new c-suite person brought into the company, there’s a new round of layoffs! Just recently they laid off about 40 people from the engineering side of the business with the average tenure being about 6 years between everyone there, on the week of Thanksgiving. You won’t be surprised to find there’s already openings for some of the terminated positions. The “startup” company hasn’t had any new rounds of funding since 2021 and likely won’t be getting one anytime soon. Employees were speculating to an acquisition would be looming to make sure the higher ups came out with their pockets filled.

Being in an environment that moves quickly and makes hard decisions to facilitate long term success is not for everyone and I am sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy some of your time at ezCater. I hope you find or have found a role that is a better match for what you're looking for. Robert
