Pros

Quick Upgrades to Captain True Home-basing from anywhere in the CONUS You know your schedule 1 year in advance Covid proof - We actually hired and grew during Covid and actually flew more hours than 2019. Lightning fast growth, but not too fast. We started with 3 jets in 2015 and are up to 96. While they have treated me 5 Stars worth during Hurricanes, family emergencies, etc., I am giving us 4 Stars as we are growing and progressing to 5 Stars. And no, I’m not in Management.

Cons

As a newer Company, we don’t have all the pay and benefits yet as companies that have 2 and 3 decades on us, but that is to be expected and was offset for me by the quick upgrade to Captain and the ability to live on BOTH Coasts. We don’t have the same pay and benefits as the Major Passenger and Cargo Airlines, but then again we know our schedules a year in advance and can live anywhere.

Pros

The company has been getting a lot of negative reviews because of a small RIF that affected my department the most. Truth is that it's now more structured and the work life balance as dramatically increased. It is a great environment to work in. I have many work friends that carry over to after work. I also am not micromanaged which leads to me feeling more valued at this job over any other place I've worked in this town.

Cons

We still have room to grow and become more efficient. New technology this year has been a tremendous help. Now we are building on it. There are a few managers that are full of themselves. While it may be a con, everyone knows who they are and just works around them. They don't actually affect you personally, you just wonder why are they still here.

Pros

The only pro to this company are the other mechanics and connections you’ll make here

Cons

Compared to any other job in my past experience, this is the most disorganized company I’ve ever been employed with. If performing unsafe maintenance practices, being treated like you don’t matter, having privileges in your contract being taken away just because, being shorted on your check every other week then having to pull teeth to get them to pay what they owe you and having policies change every week then getting in trouble because things change so often you can’t keep up. Then this is the company for you A lot of higher ups have inflated egos and run the company like they’re still in the military, it’s a problem because they don’t follow FAA regulations and expect their maintenance workers to be yes men
