Disorganized and mismanaged

Pros

Remote work and benefits were good

Cons

My experience was deeply disappointing. The leadership was disorganized and micromanaging, stifling employees' ability to adapt and innovate. Communication was virtually nonexistent, with important updates often withheld or communicated poorly. On top of that, there's a clear lack of empowerment with little autonomy given to people to do their best work. Favoritism runs rampant, with certain employees being given preferential treatment while others are left out. To make matters worse, managers seem to engage in gossip, further eroding trust and morale. Overall, Hims is a toxic environment where employees are undervalued and unappreciated. I would caution anyone considering a position here to think twice before joining.

Pros

They try to make it seem like a fun and young company

Cons

Absolutely awful leadership from the CEO. People are quitting and candidates are having a bad experience

Pros

- great health benefits - great offsites - fully remote - moves quickly - good work/life balance

Cons

- leadership is like a revolving door, very difficult to get a grasp of what the roadmap is as it changes significantly every month - lots of product launches that get to 90% preparation and then are cut at the last minute - very topdown - extremely gossipy/college-like culture where everyone is talking behind each other's backs - team lacks gender + racial diversity, very boys club culture - lots of layoffs
