Pros

100% remote, equipment provided (+ business Amazon shop where you can order stuff and it’s paid for), good health insurance options and other benefits, employee stock options, work is easy albeit repetitive, lots of freedom.

Cons

Any job at any company is gonna have its downsides. Being a customer service rep is pretty inherently bleh. I’d say a big con is that most of the supervisors really have no idea what they’re doing or talking about. There are a few who are good, but most of them are honestly useless. I’ve had multiple different supervisors since starting. One was fine, one was excellent, and one was really bad (absent, unresponsive, not a strong advocate for the team). Pay is fine, not good but not bad either. Of course we’d all love more money. The other big con for me is that most of the other agents are bad at the job or highly unrealistic about it. Reading the other reviews on here from agents cracks me up because they’re complaining about having to do chat. Like yeah…….we’re CX agents what else would we be doing? Also having metrics is, again, a really obvious part of being an agent. Just do what you’re here to do and keep moving. The same people complaining here surely are the same people who are always rudely complaining in public slack channels and basically attacking members of leadership, then getting upset when they don’t get opportunities for growth. That kind of hostility and lack of professionalism is really bad for morale.

Pros

hims and hers is shaking up the medical world, and I truly believe they are making positive changes for their customers. There are some very talented and hardworking people on the team, who have created a strong company and product.

Cons

When I left the company there wasn't a culture, or rather there was only a toxic culture. There were/are a lot of hard working people who work at that company who never got the credit they deserved. The office smells of nepotism and lacked diversity. I saw many people displaced from their roles due to leadership hiring people from their past companies.

Pros

stock is BOOMING, flexible PTO, quarterly mental health days

Cons

Just beyond hypocritical. Saying they care about patients but then pushing medication in a way that misleads consumers (no side effects listed in our commercials for one thing)! I also don't even truly believe they think they're the "solution" to the problem of our healthcare system in america, they're just here to profit by fear mongering. And I get it, you're a business, but like have some morals maybe? Maybe don't just throw out all your other business opportunities, like mental health (!!!), women's birth control (!!!), just for the sake of capitalizing on the ozempic wave with their fake-ozempic. Beyond the problems with the company "vision," the executives of hims & hers are so blind. I'm sure we already knew this given the obtuse appropriation of "this is america" in the super bowl ad, but let me make it clearer for everyone. I have been in meetings with these "executives" and my goodness, the lack of data-driven decision making is shocking. The amount of times I've been told "we'll do it this way because I want to" is baffling, so their disregard for evidence-based practices shouldn't be so surprising to me! The disorganization of how to run a successful remote company is probably going to be the downfall of the company -- either that or the FDA.
