Going downhill fast

Pros

- Free wi-fi - Snacks - Elevator

Cons

I should’ve listened to the negative reviews before joining since they’re all accurate. Culture and morale are terrible and people are trying to flee like rats from a sinking ship. Leadership is purely autocratic and push their agenda down your throat with zero regard for timelines or quality of work. The “town hall” the engineering team had recently was a joke and all relevant questions were blatantly deflected. Wake up and smell the coffee, folks! This place is a dead end and look elsewhere for a promising career. If you’re a talented developer, stay away and find a better gig.

Your feedback, while direct and tough to receive, is information we can provide to the executive and management teams to identify where and how we can improve communication and how to best do work and partner with our team members. We respectfully disagree with the forecast that iHerb is going "downhill". Indeed, iHerb leadership outlined its two year strategic plan and shared it will all team members across the company, and is continuing to identify ways to simplify communications and maintain internal customer (team member) trust. Thank you for your current service and your contributions to iHerb.

Pros

Paycheck that clears, free drinks and fruit, decent office and friendly colleagues

Cons

As others have mentioned, this place is fear based and "do what you're told without questions asked" type of culture. Management does not value employees and will grind you up until it's time for your replacement. This definitely isn't a long term gig and recommend seasoned professionals to look elsewhere for a quality job. A lot of colleagues I know are not happy with things and are actively searching to get out. If you're cool with executing whatever they want without having an opinion, working OT frequently without pay and an overall drab environment, by all means this is your place. Otherwise, keep looking and find a better gig for yourself.

It disappointing to hear that you are not pleased with your working environment. As iHerb continues to evolve, changes will continue as we position the business for growth. However, we have great empathy and patience as an organization, in regards to our current team member’s contributions to the overall business’s adaptation. We encourage our current team members to connect with their Management and/or H.R teams to address any concerns in an effort to find resolution.

Pros

Good learning opportunity. Great snacks.

Cons

Nepotism is big here. They recently let go a whole bunch of people without any reason and the remaining employees are in the dark for whatever the reason was. There have been all sorts of issues with salaries including salary increase. Don’t believe the fake “all is good” reviews.

While iHerb certainly promotes transparency and one’s ability to leverage constructive feedback, we would recommend you address these concerns with HR or the Management team. As a company in rapid growth, realignments to the workforce will take place to adjust to the industries momentum. Unfortunately, there is not a perfect solution and iHerb takes a great deal of care and consideration when any roles are eliminated in a restructuring.
