Pros

In an ideal world most professionals want to work for a profitable company with established clients, awesome products, tremendous growth potential yet still small enough to be the innovative startup where your ideas and creativity is valued...that's Impact Radius! The work environment is challenging yet rewarding and offers something for everyone who wants to work for a growing "startup like" company that has a mature business model with established customers and is not a startup at all (founded in 2008). The people are very friendly and helpful and the corporate culture fosters an environment where you are expected to work hard and play hard. The company offers a generous amount of snacks, treats, drinks and other goodies that are stocked regularly, Bagel Wednesdays and a catered lunch every Friday to top it off. Access to the management team is always available and communication about the direction of the company is constant. Working and living in Santa Barbara??? Are you kidding??? What's not to like about that? Being downtown near shops, stores, restaurants, etc is a big plus! Parking is provided and the company headquarters feels more like a college dorm setting with a courtyard, BBQ, backyard patio, TV living room, game room, etc to compliment the company sponsored activities and entertainment! One of the lower stress environments I have worked in recently!

Cons

Being in growth mode is very challenging (this is not unique to Impact Radius) so there is always some level of high performance and productivity required to succeed here. However, that has become "normal" in the high growth tech world of the 21st century company these days!

Pros

Great culture, plenty of freedom, growth potential. Keg, xbox, outdoor and pet friendly, fun events, and even a quarterly elected team with a budget dedicated to employee happiness. Time off is very competitive as well. CEO instated additional PTO called "recuperation" for every employee to ensure nobody burns out. The company is clearly going places. If you can hang on for the ride, you can sculpt a great career for yourself. Overall 5 stars because above all else you can grow your career AND love your job at the same time.

Cons

If you aren't self driven, this may not be the place for you. Employees are expected to manage themselves (this gives you a lot of freedom), but if you need direction it can be hard to find at times. The company is struggling to build structure as it grows, and it's growing quickly. Don't expect much HR...the one person (down in la!) does the bare minimum here.

Thanks for your feedback, it was instrumental in making this a priority! We are happy to report that we have hired a full-time HR & Admin Manager in our Santa Barbara office to oversee new hire onboarding, benefit enrollment, and other critical HR imperatives. Early reports indicate it's having a positive impact! Our sincerest thanks for your feedback!
