Pros

When I interviewed for this position I was coming from a toxic work environment where there was a lot of interdepartmental conflict and politics so sussing out the culture at inPowered was really important to me before making the commitment. After interviewing with the entire management staff and hearing them echo similar sentiments, I was really excited to join. Two and a half years in, I can say that they weren't exaggerating. I've felt really supported here from day one and the team is incredibly collaborative. This is probably the first time I've genuinely enjoyed my co-workers and I know that's a direct result of the founders putting a lot of thought and time into hiring decisions. The culture is my absolute favorite thing about working here. And the fact that we have an amazing product is icing - I feel fortunate to work with people I like on something I really believe in.

Cons

The AI & Adtech industry is in a constant state of evolution, and as a marketer and as a broader team that requires us to be nimble so we can change direction as needed. It's not a con per se, but that definitely means that there are intense periods where we have to be quick on the learning curve. Because we are a lean team, it can feel overwhelming but that being said - the all hands on deck culture is ever present and it's from the top down. I love that the founders are willing to roll up their sleeves and get super tactical.

Pros

The product serves a niche market well and can be a strong fit for the right clients.

Cons

The sales environment lacks autonomy and trust. There's a high level of micromanagement, including frequent oversight from senior leadership on even routine sales calls. Sellers have limited ability to take ownership of their pipeline or grow independently. This can be demotivating and stifling for those looking to develop their skills and thrive in a more empowering culture.

We appreciate that our product strength was recognized - it didn’t get there without a focused, high performing sales team. That said, let’s be real: what one person calls “micromanagement,” others see as hands-on coaching and accountability - especially in a fast moving startup where precision matters. We don’t believe in a set-it-and-forget-it sales culture. We believe in raising the bar. Autonomy is earned through trust, and trust is built through performance. If that environment wasn’t for you, fair enough - but we’ve seen it bring out the best in the right people. And those are the ones still here, growing. -The inPowered AI Team

Pros

inPowered is a mature startup with a wonderful, supportive culture. It's a great place for people who have a roll-up-your-sleeves, figure-it-out -on-fly approach. The leadership team is always open to new ideas and suggestions.

Cons

This is not the place for people who want to just do the bare minimum and fly under the radar. There is not a strict hierarchy for advancement where you follow prescribed steps to move up a ladder. This is a small start up where you can make an impact, if that's appealing to you.
