Pros

*Clean, spacious facility with good covid precautions *California based Company *Flexible time off

Cons

*No code of conduct or serious consequences for offensive language/slurs used by employees in work office environment *Agressive, irritable higher ups with unchecked emotions and professional etiquette. Specifically observed in four different scenarios, arguing with female employees, in a group setting. *Most of these temper tantrums occurring when follow up/sales quotas were not met. Or you simply questioned something that did not add up in Ooma's process.

Pros

Ooma has an oomazing product that is excellent for the small business customer. HQ is a great place to be if you are an in office person. People are great and there is one particular HR person Susan who is just awesome and goes the extra mile. People and culture is great and Ooma overall is a nice place to work but...

Cons

When you get hired on make sure to go over your 5 year plan right up front and get it in writing. As you progress make sure management is held accountable. That's the mistake I made as I did not get things in writing. Things move very very slow when a raise is to be put in place or overall comp plan is to be upgraded. I had my best 2 quarters while working from home but my immediate manager made me feel guilty for not being in the office and so myself and our team were the only ones in HQ back in the office well before the July 6th reopening of offices. Ooma is a work from anywhere solution so it makes sense to work from anywhere to sell it. What was surprising is my management asked why I was leaving and that seemed odd because over the last 6 months I made it clear what my expectations were especially after hitting all the requirements they asked of me. I loved that job but will not work for less than market value. Answer to your question management team..."why did you not give us 2 week notice " 1. I gave you all a 6 month notice and you did nothing about it and 2. I knew I was going to a competitor eventually so it made no sense to stay 2 weeks longer and usually most companies walk you out when they know you will be going to a competitor
