The recovery journey isn’t just for the person with the substance use or mental health issue—it includes everyone who cares about them. This September, we've been proud to recognize National Recovery Month and celebrate the recovery community, including our employees like Levi. Levi is one of our Addiction Counselors, working in the field for the past 20 years. He recently shared with us how his own experiences with addiction and recovery have driven him to be a beacon of hope for others. We are privileged to have him as part of our team, fully committed to serving the addiction and recovery community with care, empathy and understanding. Thank you for all that you do, Levi!
This week, we’re celebrating our advanced practice providers — team members certified to diagnose and treat illnesses, prescribe medications, perform clinical work and do research. Faith Pollock is part of this important group at Allina Health. Meet Faith in this video and learn how she’s making a difference for patients.
Three things we're passionate about: Giving back to our local communities, promoting a positive and fun culture for our employees and providing exceptional health care. On Sunday, we got to do all three–Volunteer with Roots for the Home Team to pack 1,000+ salads for local community members who identify as food insecure, celebrate the Allina Health team as the presenting sponsor of the Minnesota United FC game and provide expert care to the Loons as their Official Health Care Providers. Thank you to everyone involved who helped make the day so successful and fun!
We are incredibly grateful for this group of summer interns and for all the work they accomplished this summer! As a part of their internship experience, we invite them to join their leaders and team members for a volunteer outing. This year, they headed to MATTER in St. Louis Park to help pack medical supplies. Thank you all again for the enthusiasm, dedication and fresh perspectives you brought to our teams. We wish you the best of luck in your next adventures!

This past year, we partnered with the Anoka-Hennepin school district to provide well-being support and educational resources to school staff via the creation of "Supporting Supporters: A Podcast from Change to Chill." This is just one of many examples of how we work with partners in the community to extend our mission to prevent and treat illness beyond the four walls of our hospitals and clinic.
