Meet our team member, Ashley, Behr Recruiter. Ashley joined Behr in 2022 and is responsible for recruiting team members for our newest operations and distribution facility in Heath, Ohio, which opened in July. “My favorite part about working at Behr has been the inclusive work environment. Everyone who I’ve come in contact with has been amazing in both my own department and others. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming so it's truly a great team to work for.”

Our heartfelt sympathies go out to the people of Maui and the thousands of individuals affected by the recent wildfires. To help support temporary housing and rebuilding efforts, Behr donated funds to our national philanthropy partner, HomeAid America, that will be used for the “Maui Housing” initiative at their Hawaii affiliate.

Learning to “Unjudge Someone” Today, our new president, Megan Selby, kicked off a virtual session with the Human Library®, a global organization that facilitates personal conversations with individuals who have faced identity-based prejudice, social exclusion and/or discrimination. By offering a safe space to discuss taboo topics openly and without condemnation, our team members can challenge preconceived notions, find commonalities, and build greater insight and empathy.

Celebrating 20 years of our BEHR CARES Program. It all began when a passionate Behr team member dropped an idea in a suggestion box, asking Behr to sponsor multiple charity walks per year. The enthusiastic response and participation led to further enhancements to the program, including corporate grants and in-kind donations, a matching gift program, and a day of paid volunteer time per year to work at a favorite charity. This program reflects our overarching commitment to serve the communities where we work and live.

Duranda Bennett, Regional Sales Manager in Texas, recently attended a leadership conference and global executive forum hosted by CALIBR, a leadership association offering career and leadership development, community service activities, and connection opportunities for mid-career professionals of African descent. Her membership and conference attendance were sponsored by our organization. Duranda shared how she enjoyed establishing special connections with the attendees, and the opportunity for strategic networking to build long lasting relationships.

OUR SECOND BLOOD DRIVE THIS YEAR. In June, Behr team members gave back by donating 49 units of blood to help City of Hope patients. For over 25 years, we’ve supported this organization, and fully support their vision of a future free of cancer.

Our sustainability group, The Green Team, was formed by a group of Behr team members who are passionate about practicing eco-friendly habits, enjoy connecting with like-minded “green” team members, and want to learn and share tips on how to be greener in and outside of work. The group also identifies opportunities for our team members to volunteer at conservation activities in our communities.
