Congrats to Juan Silva, Volunteer Superstar Juan is a Regional Account Manager and the latest recipient of the Q2 Masco Cares Quarterly Volunteer Award. Our parent company, Masco Corporation, honors a team member each quarter who exemplifies volunteerism in their community. For several years, Juan has worked with 365-Connect and our Home Depot partners to rally his fellow salespeople to volunteer for paint projects, most recently for the Veterans Village of San Diego. In recognition of his passion and dedication, 365-Connect will receive a $5000 donation in Juan’s name.

Recognizing Pride Month We fly the PRIDE flag at our corporate headquarters in June to show our support of our LGBTQ+ community. This is a symbol of our commitment, not just in June but on an ongoing basis, to uplift the stories of this community and to educate our colleagues on how best to actively practice allyship. Our recent workshop, Creating Gender-Inclusive Workspaces for Everyone, served as a good reminder that everyone deserves to be who they are without making concessions.

We Believe Housing is a Human Right We proudly attended the groundbreaking ceremony for our philanthropy partner and Santa Ana neighbor, WISEPlace. This historical landmark renovation and expansion building project will house 47 residents, and provide permanent supportive housing and services to unaccompanied women, primarily seniors and those with disabilities. We are happy to support the project by donating all the interior and exterior paint.

In addition to providing annual grants and in-kind paint donations, we collected donations from our team members towards diaper purchases. Behr colleagues also volunteered at their recent diaper drive drop off event. We’re glad to help HomeAid accomplish their goal of collecting 1,000,000 diapers!

Caring for our Oceans and Waterways 39 Behr volunteers gathered in Huntington Beach to support 1250 students participating in Kids Ocean Day, an annual statewide celebration to protect the world’s oceans. Orange County Coastkeeper, a long-term Behr philanthropy partner, organized the event. Our team members helped educate the students about ocean issues, collect trash, and create a beautiful aerial art project called “Give Nature a Chance.”
