HELPING MANAGERS BUILD GREATER INCLUSION & BELONGING WITH TEAMS To support our people managers, we created the Behr Inclusion Toolkit, a collection of carefully curated activities and resources issued 3-4 times per year. The toolkit has everything a manager needs to lead simple and engaging activities with their teams to build a greater sense of trust and community. Activities are centered around topics like family stories, allyship, unsung heroes, and working with different generations. Much like our DEI journey at Behr, the Toolkit will continuously be in progress, with new tools being added over time.

That’s why we’re proud to be an ongoing partner of HomeAid Orange County, nonprofit organization that constructs shelters and affordable housing for families and individuals experiencing or at risk of homelessness. We share their drive to provide safe, affordable housing for all families. Our Chief Marketing Officer, Jodi Allen, served as a judge for their recent annual diaper drive event competition, where multiple companies competed to build the best structure out of donated diaper boxes. Over 600,000 diapers were collected during the event to support families in need!

On their final day, the interns volunteered at Reimagine, our neighborhood nonprofit, helping out in computer, cooking, art, and fitness classes for persons with disabilities. The future is bright for Behr’s 2022 intern class, and we wish them the best of luck!

SUPPORTING OUR TEAM MEMBERS’ MENTAL FITNESS Our very own Blu Mendoza was interviewed by Prince Harry, The Duke of Sussex and BetterUp CIO, and featured on a short film highlighting the power of Mental Fitness. Our Behr team members receive a membership with BetterUp Care, which includes a mental fitness coach plus information and practices to ignite their well-being, performance, and growth.

They served as game hosts, and helped lead different fun activities, such as soccer relay, musical chairs, and limbo. We encourage our team members to make a difference in their communities by giving their time, expertise, and resources to support causes that matter to them. Our Behr Cares Volunteer Program, established in 2003, provides team members 8 hours paid time annually to serve a charitable organization of their choice.
