We are thrilled to announce a fantastic milestone! Since we moved into our new facility, added a highly automated Lincoln Electric's PythonX to the Hobart structural steel manufacturing line and an automated CNC Laser Cutting Machine Amada, our manufacturing output has increased 123%, putting the plant at full capacity in 18 months vs. our target of 5 years. In 2021, we will produce 33% more than 2020. #Daifukuteam

Happy Fourth of July! We hope you're celebrating #freedom with good food, loved ones, and fireworks! ✨ Fun Fact: Did you know? Benjamin Franklin wanted the turkey to be the national animal of the U.S., but he was outvoted, and the eagle became the national animal. #DaifukuTeam #IndependenceDay21 #Happy4thofJuly

Today meet Ricardo Garcia, our intern within the mechanical engineering department for the AHS division in Salt Lake City. Ricardo has been exposed to AS/RS systems at a young age since his father worked at Valpak, which worked with Daifuku Wynright to set up their storage system. "Integrating Daifuku Wynright as an intern and get experience in my field of engineering is exciting! I hope to apply the information that I have been learning throughout college and utilize this internship to improve my resume and make myself more appealing to employers," he said. Ricardo expects to be exposed to at least one full-scale project this summer to learn the required procedures and programs used as a mechanical engineer in the AS/RS industry. "I find this industry interesting because it is the future and will only become more prevalent in the time to come." After graduation from the University of Florida, he plans to go directly into the workforce and land a job as a #mechanicalengineer. #DaifukuIntern #Internships #MaterialHandlings #SummerInterns

With the spike in e-commerce demand, especially in grocery, retail, and consumer products, our Daifuku Intralogistics North America facility is the perfect answer to the production increase. The Works has boosted production capacity to 1.5 times its predecessor facilities and helped to create up to 582 new jobs in Indiana by the end of 2021. “The Hobart location met our major concerns best. It is still in the Greater Chicagoland area. It had a 44-acre plot of land that could support the space we needed. It has an excellent school system, affordable housing, a low overall cost of living, and a large and talented manufacturing labor pool,” said Kevin Ambrose CEO Daifuku Wynright. Welcome back, Kristen! Happy International Women in Engineering Week! Kristen Barry interned for us in 2019. This summer, she is working in the Software Client Care department for about three months. She is working on technical writing and editing during her time, mainly in the Client Care Knowledge Base. Kristen hopes to continue working on the projects I started in 2019 and improve the Knowledge Base and other internal areas in the Client Care office. Kristen graduated summa cum laude with honors from Florida State University in 2018 with a degree in political science. She is currently taking some time off from law school after universities switched to mainly online schooling last year. She loves to read and play with her two dogs, Macy and Maui, and runs her own small business on Etsy called Lemon + Lily Co. She didn't know much about the material handling industry before working at Daifuku Wynright, but it has interesting to learn more about the field and all the areas Daifuku and Wynright provide solutions in. #DaifukuIntern
