Collaboration in action 🤝 The Daifuku Global Product Development Team is on-site working closely with ILUS to strengthen our focus on delivering even more Daifuku equipment to the rapidly expanding North American market. Dane Houston, Sr. Manager, Global Product Development, has a dotted-line reporting relationship to the team and leads the Daifuku Intralogistics America Steering Committee. This committee will help drive the direction of the Global Team in alignment with the needs of the North American market. “It has really been fun working with these young engineers. Please join us in welcoming Eulises Campos Quinones to Daifuku Intralogistics America as our new Electrical Engineer I! Eulises brings a unique and hands-on path into engineering. He spent five years working as an electrical apprentice and electrician before earning his degree in Electronics Engineering Technology. During that time, he also gained valuable controls engineering internship experience in manufacturing and custom automation. After graduation, he worked in the overhead crane industry, where he built his first full-scale engineering experience and further strengthened his technical foundation. Eulises is excited to bring his diverse background and fresh perspective to our electrical engineering team. As he puts it, he’s eager to learn from the team’s deep expertise while continuing to grow his own skills. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, hiking, volunteering, and mentoring in his community. Last week, Daifuku Intralogistics America – Installation Services gathered in Clearwater, Florida, for our annual team summit, focused on collaboration, connection, and leadership. A highlight of the week was our Team Building Pool Tournament, where ALAN O'REGAN Jr. and David Conley fought their way back through the losers bracket to win the championship out of 14 teams along with plenty of laughs from creative challenge coupons and friendly competition. The summit also emphasized leadership development through a shared reading of Alpha Dog by Mark Breslin, sparking meaningful discussions on what it takes to lead effectively in the construction industry. Strong leadership is essential to running safe, efficient, and on-time job sites, and we are committed to equipping our teams with the skills to succeed. This week was a great reminder that teamwork, resilience, and leadership extend well beyond the job site.

Last week, Daifuku Intralogistics America hosted another successful hiring event and it all started with a challenge. During a major SAP startup and production ramp-up, our shop was running overtime and weekends to meet aggressive goals. Managers and supervisors needed to stay on the plant floor, but not hiring simply wasn’t an option. So we rethought the process. 💡 Instead of traditional 1-hour interviews (which limited managers to 2–3 interviews per day and pulled them off the floor for 10–15 hours a week), we launched mini hiring events. Here’s how they work: ✅ Not open to the public ✅ Candidates are pre-screened and pre-scheduled ✅ Interviews every 20 minutes over a 4-hour block The result? 👉 30–40 candidates interviewed in just 4 hours 👉 Managers stay focused on operations 👉 Faster, more efficient hiring without sacrificing quality These mini events have been so effective that our Plant Manager now regularly asks for them when headcount increases or turnover spikes. Sometimes innovation isn’t about new technology, it’s about rethinking how we work. Proud of the teamwork and creativity that made this possible. 👏
