Today, we are thrilled to introduce Jeremy Grubb, our intern with the mechanical engineering department. 👏 ➡️ Jeremy chose to work with Daifuku Wynright when he met our employees at the school career fair. He is a student at Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, and he is pursuing a BS in Mechanical Engineering and a concentration in Aerospace. Jeremy is not very familiar with material handling systems, but he enjoys the design. He hopes to gain experience from his internship in the mechanical engineering industry and apply and develop skills I've learned to real-world applications. He primarily focuses on large-scale and complex projects, such as Harbor Freight tools. Jason manages the software schedules, deployments, and team, including development, Sysops, QA, Business analysts, and integration. ➡️ Today, he helps manage the UAT testing phase and prepares the system to move forward into go-live. He is also the customer project manager’s primary point of contact for this phase. His biggest win at Harbor Freight tools was having a successful grand opening and seeing a satisfied customer. The Installation Services has partnered with Flexco to provide onsite Belt Lacing Training to our Site Management and Installation Quality Teams as a department goal for 2022. Christopher Cheney, Site Management Supervisor, supervised and organized the training for our team. 🚀 ➡️ During this seminar, we covered the cutting of the belt to achieve the desired bias (3 degrees), determined which lacing to use and how to tell if you may have the wrong lacing onsite, and correctly determined how much of the lacing is required regarding the belt's width, operating the tools/equipment necessary to lace a belt (training is being performed on a 24" roller lacer supplied by Flexco) and what to look for when examining belt lacing done by subs and how to determine if it is correct or not. 💡 Thanks to all our participants, particularly Tom Crowley, Richard Johnson, Martin Hillman, Dr. Cyril Butler, and Ken Rozhon. 👏
