Kohl Children's Museum's Dover Tech Play Lab Teaches Kids to be Technology Creators Article courtesy of Daily Herald Authored by Dave Oberhelman Nearly everyone -- men, women, children -- sits in front of computer screens, television monitors, tablets, cellphones, mesmerized by the images before them. MAAG Supports Manufacturing Education with Donation to Ohio Vocational Program MAAG and the Dover Foundation, along with a local Ohio community partner, have committed $10,000 to support high school students studying aspects of manufacturing. The donation will benefit the Six District Educational Compact which offers vocational programming to students in six different Ohio educational districts. At MAAG, we believe that manufacturing offers great careers to the next generation, and to further show our support, we have invested in programs like Kent High School’s Engineering Academy and The Industrial Maintenance and Production for Employment Program at Stow-Monroe Falls High School. Both programs provide hands-on training for manufacturing processes, machine operations and assembly repair, and the students have opportunities to intern at local manufacturing facilities, just like MAAG, to get real-world experience.

Dover Employees Volunteer at Feed My Starving Children As a way to give back around the holidays, a group of employees from Dover’s Finance team spent an afternoon packing meals at Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) in Aurora, IL. Founded in 1987, FMSC is a non-profit that provides nutritionally complete meals specifically formulated for malnourished children. The Dover team members helped hand-pack rice, soy, dried vegetables and a blend of vitamins and minerals into bags that were then sealed, boxed and placed on pallets for shipping to FMSC partners working hard to reach children in need around the world. Throughout the day, volunteers packed a total of 116 boxes of food, which will provide over 25,000 meals to feed 70 children for a full year. Additionally, a check on behalf of the Dover Foundation was presented for $1,500 to FMSC at the conclusion of the event. To learn more about FMSC, please visit fmsc.org.
