How has Eden changed since Lead Behavior Analyst Brittany Bosi began working here almost 10 years ago? "There have been lots of changes, many of them positive. As science evolves, changes have been made in the organization to keep up with current research and best practices. There are also things that have remained consistent, such as the teamwork environment. When working in the classrooms or various departments, there’s always a sense that during challenging behaviors, everyone has your back here. That level of support isn’t always evident in other places within the field. "
Earlier this month we came together to celebrate the heart of Eden’s mission — our participants and staff! During the 2023 Eden Autism Service Awards, we honored 40 staff and 46 participants for hitting a 5-year milestone within the organization. Whether someone has been with us for 5 years or 40 years, every individual has achieved remarkable milestones during their time at Eden. We are immensely proud of their hard work!
We are pleased to announce that Timothy Nipe, Ph. D, BCBA-D has joined Eden Autism as Chief Clinical Officer! In this role Tim will provide leadership and oversight to Eden’s Clinical Services, serving the Eden School, Adult Services (Residential and Day), and Outreach. He will also be a member of the Senior Executive Team (SET). Please join us in welcoming Tim to Eden Autism and wishing him success in his new role as Eden’s Chief Clinical Officer!
In the newest installment of our “10 Questions With…” series, we spoke with Nicholas Mondello. Nicholas has worked at Eden Autism for 10 years. After joining Eden as a DSP, he became a Medical Floater for our Adult Services Program in 2020. "It makes me feel good, taking them to the doctor to get them the help they need. I really pride myself on getting these guys the best care. When you’re taking our guys to the doctor, they can’t advocate for themselves so you have to know how they’re acting and what they need."
Eden staff recently hosted a multicultural day at the Old Trenton Road Day Center to celebrate Eden’s diversity! Brittany Carroll came up with the idea to bring everyone together. Staff decorated the kitchen, hung up flags from countries across the world, and brought in a dish to represent their culture. “What better way to show love than food?” said Brittany. Mai Griffiths, who helped organize the event, believes food is the best way to come together and learn about other cultures. From the diversity of the staff to the variety of cultural backgrounds of the individuals we support, there was much to celebrate and discover. Most importantly, the event allowed everyone to spend more time together, laughing and enjoying each other’s company. “At the end of the day, Eden is family,” said Maurice Peace, Manager of Day Services.
