Our Gen Y/Z CommUNITY Group met this summer to discuss ways to promote mental health, green initiatives and creating mentorship opportunities across different generations. CommUNITY Groups are voluntary, team member-led forums designed to foster inclusivity in the workplace. These groups provide an opportunity for team members to explore and address challenges and opportunities unique to their shared experiences.
This summer, we welcomed seven interns who worked across our ministry including Our Lady of the Lake Health, St. Francis Health, St. Dominic’s and in our human resources department. Here, we believe in empowering the next generation of healthcare professionals. We have strategic partnerships with local schools, colleges and universities to develop job shadowing opportunities, internship and apprenticeship opportunities that give young people first-hand experience and insight into the careers available in healthcare.
