In partnership with Baton Rouge STEM Follows of STEM NOLA, our ministry hosted an immersive experiential learning course on Saturday at Franciscan Missionaries of Our Lady University. High schoolers from the Baton Rouge area participated in various activities and learned about the different areas of the healthcare industry including some such as nursing, forensics, anatomy, and radiologic technology. This program focuses on educating students about various areas of STEM and the wide variety of career paths available in these fields. In partnership with FranU, our team members and their dependents have access to a very generous tuition assistance program. Every year, team members and their families save hundreds of thousands combined on their educational journeys and advancement through undergraduate programs and master’s in health administration. One of the many ways our health system continually supports our team members is by offering education assistance. Team members have access to up to $3000 for full-time and $1,500 for part-time each academic year to prioritize their educational journey. The majority of our team members who have used this benefit do so to pursue degrees in healthcare administration and advanced nursing.
