In honor of Black History Month, Giant Eagle's African American Business Resource Group (AABRG) will be showcasing the talents and accomplishments of some of our African American Team Members throughout the month of February. This week’s #TeamMemberTuesday is featuring Darillinn, Confidential Human Resources Coordinator! “My ancestors paved the way and made many sacrifices. Today, I live with so many opportunities that I even take for granted. I am proud of the trail blazers that made the sacrifice for our culture and the opportunity to leave a legacy that can move and navigate further in our heritage.”
As part of our 2020 United Way Campaign, we hosted the Giant Eagle-United Way Women’s Leadership Council Breakfast which featured Laura Karet, President & CEO and Bobbi Watt Geer, President & CEO of United Way of Southwestern Pennsylvania, who shared the importance of supporting the United Way. We also heard from Toshua Jarrett, Chief Development Officer for the Veterans Leadership Program of Western Pennsylvania, a United Way Agency on the impact of their program and how the United Way has helped them assist women Veterans in our community.
