In honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, our Women at Howard Hughes + Allies ERG, hosted a ‘Pink Out Walk’ along The Woodlands Waterway last week to raise awareness and support breast cancer survivors. The invitation was extended to the entire Howard Hughes headquarters office building and multiple tenants joined in, decked out in pink, to show their support. As part of the Pink Out event, employees were encouraged to donate to MD Anderson Cancer Center or any other breast cancer research nonprofit and submit their donations for employer matching through our HHCares program.

Last week, The Woodlands wrapped up its year-long 50th anniversary celebration with a grand finale. Festivities included a time capsule dedication in Hughes Landing, a Day of Giving in partnership with Interfaith Of The Woodlands, a tree dedication, and a new mural unveiling in collaboration with local artist Amy Malkan. We closed the weekend with a free concert at The Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion featuring performances by The Woodlands area resident, Lyle Lovett, and community natives, Hayes Carll and Jack Ingram. The night ended with a stunning drone and fireworks show over Lake Woodlands, lighting up the sky at Northshore Park. The success and longevity of this remarkable community are a testament to its founders, past and current residents, and the dedicated team that continues to sustain its growth.
