Mixing business and pleasure! McLarens US Denver team was proud sponsors at the Colorado Claims Association Golf Tournament this week. The golf tournament benefits the Joseph M. Gates Scholarship, which provides award funds for sons, daughters, stepsons and stepdaughters of insurance professionals. Our team had lots of fun networking, making new friends, and helping some high school graduates start their college experience! McLarens Philippines: Executive Leadership Update! McLarens is delighted to welcome Agapito Lagman as Country Manager for the Philippines. Pete is Vice President of the Association of Philippines Adjustment Companies and a Fellow of the Philippine Institute of Loss Adjusters. Prior to joining McLarens, Pete was the Technical Director for an international firm of loss adjusters based in the Philippines, and has over 34 years of service in the industry. As an adjuster he has handled various large and complex losses mostly comprising Property, Engineering and Energy claims. Pete’s expertise cover Power and Energy, Building and Construction, Manufacturing and Industrial as well as Performance and Surety Bonds. We are pleased to announce, Andre Mataia is moving back to the Specialist Services team from the Auckland Team Manager role to concentrate on his specialities of industrial and commercial property, engineering and business interruption. Andre has been in the insurance industry since 1991 across both Australia and New Zealand, with over six years ongoing in supervisory and management roles. Andre holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Financial Accounting and HR Management and is a Senior Associate of ANZIIF. Promoting Leaders Within! We are excited to share that McLarens has promoted Emma Youatt to Human Resources Director, EMEA and Specialty Lines of Business. Based in London, Emma has been with McLarens UK & Ireland since 2013, serving first as an HR Manager, and for the past two years, as our Senior HR Manager EMEA and Global Aviation. As an inspiring Human Resources leader, she has played a key role during our shift from a transactional to a strategic HR function. Important Executive Leadership Update! McLarens is pleased to welcome Martin Miller as Head of Forensic Accounting for Australia. Martin is a dual qualified Chartered Accountant and Chartered Loss Adjuster holding a PhD in Civil Engineering. Prior to joining McLarens, Martin was the Global Head of Forensic Accounting for a multi-national firm of loss adjusters and the country manager of their Global Technical Services Division overseeing the operations of large and complex loss, Construction and Power & Energy, Liability and Forensic Accounting Divisions. Martin's expertise is in forensic analysis and adjustment of Business Interruption (BI), Cyber, Product Contamination/Product Liability, Fidelity/3rd Party Fraud and stock claims. He is also a recognized industry leader in the assessment of Business Interruption and Product Contamination claims, providing training and expert advice to the broader insurance community.
