Today is International Women’s Day (#IWD). We’re grateful to have so many inspiring women leaders among our global McLarens’ team and clients. We are a stronger, more inspiring, and empathic organization because of your different perspectives, ideas, and insights. All work and no fun makes the lockdown boring! Our McLarens' staff and their families in UK & Ireland were recently enthralled by a mind-blowing magic show by Darren Delaney. It was a brilliant way to take a break from work and be entertained in an activity that everyone in their household could enjoy. With the schools still shut for most children in the UK, its been a difficult time for many families and we hope that this helped raise a smile. Thanks Darren for your fun show!

Finding talent within! Congratulations to Trent Gillette, who has recently been promoted to US Agriculture Director at McLarens US. As a mid westerner who grew up in a farming community, Trent is intimately familiar with agriculture and its complexities. Also, being a seasoned adjuster with more than 30 years of experience and having a degree in industrial electronics, he specializes in complex agricultural, manufacturing, and building/process claims. Trent is based in Chicago, IL. We look forward to following his contributions and successes in the new role. Congrats!

Celebrating our talent! A hearty congratulations to Fernando Selestrino, Country Manager in Brazil. Fernando joined our McLarens Aviation (former Airclaims) team 10 years ago. Where did time go? Recently we caught up with Fernando and asked him about the most significant change he observed in the industry over the past 10 years. His comment was the following: I can say that the most notable change over the past 10 years has been the increase in the available seat kilometers (ASK) versus a high and increasing demand for flights. This combined with our geography, Brazil is huge, has meant we have seen a more competitive market develop. In recent times, low fare tickets generated by new pricing strategies such as no-luggage deals have emerged. Thanks to your leadership, Fernando, our McLarens Aviation team who has responded head-on to the challenge of the pandemic, remains resilient and committed to serving our clients in Brazil. The team has a new office in Sao Paulo. We're proud of you Fernando and the team. Happy anniversary!

We all look great in RED! February is American Heart Month and #TeamMcLarens was pleased to support the American Heart Association this past Friday, February 5th for National Wear Red Day. We had employees from all over the country wear red to raise awareness for heart health.
