McLarens closed on the strategic acquisition of CNZ Group Holdings Limited (CNZ Group), and its subsidiaries, which combined, is one of the largest multi-discipline full-service loss adjusting, claims and repair management businesses operating in New Zealand. Our own Kate Gibson, Claims Technician in our UK office, organized a RACE team supporting "Show Racism the Red Card" the UK's leading anti-racism educational charity, which utilizes the high profile of professional footballers as anti-racist role-models to combat racism in society. The team has pledged to cycle (min 10k) or/and run or walk (min 5k) at least three times a week to log as many KMs (mileage) as possible and raise money for charity! The team is getting a bit tired and sore after having been very sloth-like for several months indoors and the hot weather makes for some very warm exercise! Last week, #TeamMcLarens' own Taneal Jepsen-Pickles (top, with her husband), Jenna Gibbs (bottom, with her daughters) and Susan K. Froman participated in the Spencer Educational Foundation Virtual 5k Fun Run! Even during unprecedented times, events like this are raising awareness and funds for organizations worldwide. This Fun Run helped raise over $37,000 for the education of tomorrow’s risk management and insurance leaders. #SpencerVirtual5K

This week, our teams in UK & Ireland participated in #KindnessMatters for Mental Health Awareness Week. Activities included virtual coffee catch-ups, roundtable sessions with Mental Health First Aiders discussing support available and a picture competition for the best representation of #KindnessMatters. Congratulations to Renate Zapletal who won with her picture of squares she has made for Hug a Blanket UK, each blanket contains squares from 250 volunteers for a young person with a terminal/life limiting/threatening condition. Honorable mentions include Kirsty Inwood Assoc CIPD with her artistic display of #KindnessMatters, Richard Gough arriving on site with flapjacks for the team, Kate Gibson embroidering a 'Bee Kind' design for donation, and Fiona Doyle volunteering at a weekly free food store to help locals suffering during COVID-19 (Fiona's broken arm didn't slow her down!). Thank you to all who entered! To celebrate, our teams are getting together tonight for a Quiz to kick-start the bank holiday weekend! #TeamMcLarens

As we continue working hard from home, we find that our home work spaces can be quite unique compared to our regular desks in the office. Some #TeamMcLarens teammates, like John Bayley of McLarens Aviation, have a nicely themed desk area (top left). Bayley's personal office decor makes it very clear the type of claims he's handling, right? Others, like Jaimie Cordier Leigh in New York, stays busy in the living room with a freshly-brewed cup of coffee (top right). Rogério Almeida in Brazil (bottom) works alongside his family of coworkers. No matter what the atmosphere, our team is staying connected, engaged and ready to serve our clients and partners!
