Chicago Magazine has published their 2019 rankings of top public high schools in Chicago, recognizing 13 Noble high schools in the top 40, including the #2 overall high school, Noble’s Pritzker College Prep. Just like all Noble schools, Pritzker is an open enrollment high school for any CPS student. Noble schools are ranked above more widely recognized schools such as Walter Payton, Whitney Young, Jones, and Lane Tech which require strenuous test-in admissions standards. In contrast, Noble’s nonprofit charter public schools are open to all students in the city of Chicago. Chicago Magazine based their rankings on several criteria, including SAT attainment percentages, teacher/student surveys, attendance, and graduation rates.

This spring, Noble Network of Chater Schools' first cohort of Pritzker Access Scholarship recipients received their degrees. The scholarship was created through the generosity of the Pritzker Foundation and Pritzker Traubert Foundation to support Noble's Dreamers in achieving their educational goals. We are honored to announce that 34 PAS scholars graduated from 20 different colleges with their bachelor's degree in just 4 years. Noble staff traveled over 800 miles to celebrate graduates from Pennsylvania to California, and several Midwestern colleges in between. Congratulations to all of our Pritzker Access Scholarship Graduates!

On May 30th Noble announced its first 20 recipients of the newly created Distinguished Teacher program. Among other benefits, each Distinguished Teacher will receive $10,000 annually for as long as they remain teachers at Noble. Distinguished Teacher provides an industry-changing approach to celebrating and rewarding teachers who are achieving an exceptional impact with students. "Said in the simplest way, Distinguished Teacher is a program designed to identify, celebrate, reward, and learn from Noble's most impactful teachers," said Constance Jones, CEO of Noble. "Part of our mission at Noble calls for creative classroom spaces that are transformational and empower students to lead exemplary lives. To this end, we invested years in research seeking the best ways to honor and reward teachers who have consistently achieved exceptional outcomes for our young people."

We're proud to share that 984 rising Noble juniors have enjoyed a Summer of a Lifetime experience at 80 different colleges and universities across the country. Colleges include Ivy League schools (26 students going to Harvard alone), several Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Big Ten schools, and dozens of others. We'd like to thank campus coordinators for all their hard-work and everyone who supported, especially those who attended Taste of College earlier this year.

Noble students, families, and staff, Twenty years ago, Noble opened its doors and welcomed 126 students at its first campus. Today we serve thousands of students and families across Chicago, 1,300 staff members and over 12,000 alumni. Noble's positive impact in our city is unparalleled, which makes the opportunity to now serve as Noble's next CEO a tremendous blessing that I do not take for granted. In this moment of transition, I commit to you that we will never lose the things that make Noble the place you choose to send your students, the place you choose to teach and lead. As we look toward the next twenty years, I am eager to continue this great work with you to make Noble even stronger and better for the many people we serve. Thank you for your trust and belief in my leadership. I look forward to writing the next chapter of this story with you. Thanks for all you do, always.
