🌞 Summer interns have entered the chat: Our interns have hit the ground running, diving into the world of manufacturing and getting to know the communities we call home. In Paris, IL, our interns kicked things off with a welcome lunch at The Old Glass Shop where they enjoyed smash burgers and great conversation. They’ve also rolled up their sleeves and volunteered with the Park Board to paint benches at Blackhawk Park. Thank you for giving back! Meanwhile, our Michigan interns have been getting familiar with the Farmington Hills office. They recently toured our prototype lab and made a quick stop for a caffeine boost on the way back. Our 5 interns in Flora have been enjoying getting to know each other and team lunches! The Salem interns each have a focus on electronics in manufacturing and have been busy on several projects. Some of their focuses lately have included process breakdowns, improvements, and consolidations. They recently enjoyed a trip to Chuck’s Place (a favorite local burger joint) where they spent some quality time with several of our engineers. Alabama interns have been busy learning and working with multifaceted teams and have a group lunch planned for after the holiday. We’re excited to see what the rest of the summer holds for this talented group!

Two teams took to the course for the 2nd Annual Ben Myers Classic, honoring our teammate and friend, Ben Myers. Thanks to the incredible support of family, friends, co-workers, coaches, teammates, and former teachers, nearly $9,000 was raised for a scholarship fund through Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College in Ben’s memory. The swings were strong, the laughs were louder, and the rain mostly behaved. NAL is proud to contribute to Ben’s legacy and will continue to do so.

🍕 Domino’s delivered, and so did our Alabama team! As a midweek pick me up, we served pizza to all three shifts, because great work deserves great pizza. Grateful for the dedication and teamwork that keeps us rolling!

Despite the rain cutting the day short, NAL’s sponsorship and participation in the annual June Jubilee Golf Tournament last Friday was a success in spirit and purpose. The annual event, held at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Muscle Shoals, is a major fundraiser for the Shoals Scholar Dollars Foundation which funds 20 scholarships for students to attend Northwest Shoals Community College.

Part of the recent Ford Supplier Summit was set aside for community service. Following the award ceremony on day one, NAL representatives joined other Ford suppliers to assemble 1,500 care kits for senior citizens in Detroit in support of Focus: HOPE, which provides a broad mix of essential services, from monthly meals to workforce development support for the people of Detroit.

❤️ Our Salem Team has officially launched this year’s Honda Summer Service projects by partnering with Mission Salem. Together, they built one complete residential ramp and prepped enough ramp sections for future installations. A huge thank you to the 50 volunteers who showed up ready to help, and to the 25 Team Members who committed to being on the “call list” for upcoming projects. Your dedication is what makes our community stronger! #TeamHondaCares
