If you ever need proof that North Shore Health is based on community, look no further than Ethel and Tony at Elroy Health Services. Resident Ethel May Baldwin recently turned 92! She had lots of visitors, but perhaps her favorite was Social Services Director Tony Green. Tony shares a birthday with Ethel and has known her for years, going back to childhood. He has always made it a point to visit Ethel and give her a birthday hug, even before he joined the team and Ethel became a resident. Happy birthday to both of these amazing people. We not only celebrate them, but the unique bond they've formed as friends! 🎂🎊🎈

We had 21 buildings submit applications for the AHCA/NCAL Quality Awards. They had to first qualify for the award. Then they had to write their application which gets more intense as you move along in the process – starting with Bronze, Silver, and then Gold. The Bronze applications are about five pages, the Silver around 25 pages and the Gold is over 50 pages! These centers should be very proud of their commitment to quality! The centers will find out in late spring/summer if they receive the award.
