Rhonda was one of over 600 health care professionals attending the briefing in an effort to advocate for our profession. It is our responsibility to ensure lawmakers continue to support legislation intended to appropriately fund and care for our residents. Congratulations to Marquette University cohort nursing students on completing their first clinical at Maple Ridge Health Services! Not only did they learn clinical skills, but they engaged in meaningful one-on-one activities with residents. They worked with residents on jigsaw puzzles and art work and shared life experiences. Through the apprenticeship, Brooke has learned she has a passion for patient care. "I've come to understand the power of compassion and empathy," she said. "I work to treat each patient as though they are family." As a junior, Brooke is excited to know that the education possibilities are endless healthcare. Her future is bright!
