Last week, the Resolve and DEI in Action Roadshow made its way down South with a stop at our Eiffel Solar site in Paris, Texas to continue to raise DEI awareness and share ways to increase our cultural competence within our organization. On June 16th, our SOLV Energy team joined The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center in celebration of Juneteenth. The Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center’s social services program provides financial assistance to more than 29,000 families annually in the form of food, utility, & rental assistance through programs administered under the City of Dallas. The event will begin with a 4K walk, benefitting community center programs and activities, and end with a free community festival with live entertainment, vendors, and free activities for the entire family. El Centro Hispano (ECH) is the largest Latino-led and Latino-serving organization in North Carolina. Founded in 1992 with a focus on strengthening the community, building bridges, and advocating for equity and inclusion. Our team is always looking for the opportunity to teach the next generation about the work that we are doing to build a brighter future at SOLV Energy! High Voltage Project Engineer, Daron Harris, M.S. will be speaking at Unite Inc's Student Unfiltered virtual HBCU Student Leadership Conference on June 27th. During this workshop, he will be speaking about his professional experiences as well as sharing future career opportunities within our SOLV Energy team.

The Resolve and DEI in Action Roadshow made quite a statement in Wisconsin last week! The Resolve DEI council stopped by the Crawfish Solar and Onion River project sites to continue to raise DEI awareness and share ways to increase our cultural competence within our organization. Our SOLV Energy team and Resolve DEI council shared their support for Pride Month at Pride Fest Milwaukee 2023 on June 3rd. Pride Fest Milwaukee is Wisconsin’s largest LGBTQIA+ festival since 1987 and hosting more than 50,000 attendees. We are continuing to build a brighter future in Washington, D.C. this week! Our CEO, George Hershman and Vice President of Government Affairs, Jessica Lawrence-Vaca joined Senior Advisor to President Biden, John Podesta at a SEIA board meeting to discuss next steps in the Inflation Reduction Act implementation. The two later joined industry EPC colleagues at The White House to continue their efforts for implementing labor provisions within the IRA.
Doral Renewables USA is working with farmers and landowners to make utility-scale solar work for Indiana. Starke County resident, Billy Pope, shared how dual land use efforts on Mammoth Solar are providing for his family now and protecting our environment for future generations.
Happy Pride Month! This month, we continue to celebrate love and acceptance within our SOLV Energy Team and in the world we live and work in. We are not only building a #brighterfuture for all, but we are standing in solidarity and working together for a future where all LGBTQIA+ individuals are safe and included.
The Resolve and DEI in Action Roadshow joined the team at Mammoth North in Monterey, Indiana on May 26th to continue to raise DEI awareness and share ways to increase our cultural competence within our organization. The SOLV Energy Team and Resolve DEI council met with the Executive Director of the South Bend Civic Theatre to learn about their Inclusion, Access, Diversity, and Equity (IDEA) Task Force and the August Wilson Project before enjoying the August Wilson play, "Ma Rainey's Black Bottom".
