Each 2024 Sandstone Care Scholarship applicant is amazing. It takes bravery and courage to seek help, share your story, and stay committed to your recovery journey. That is why Sandstone created this scholarship, for current or upcoming undergraduate and graduate students who are dealing with or have dealt with substance use/mental health struggles finding support. Here is Alexis’s story, one of the touching video submissions, creatively shared through an animation. We're deeply thankful to have been part of Lynnette’s journey towards recovery, and are thrilled to hear about the positive impact our staff and program had: “The staff and the program at Sandstone Care literally saved my life. The staff honestly care that you are comfortable, cared for, and successful in recovery. Each and every one of them are amazing people. This was my first time in rehab and I walked away with so much education, medical attention to my depression, and a plan to follow to remain sober. God bless each and every one of them! As for the program itself, I can't say one thing that I would change because the program was truly effective for me personally. I wish I could name each and every person that was instrumental in helping me, but it would be the complete staff list. Again everyone there really cares and are true professionals with a heart. If you are afraid to make that step through the door please don't hesitate to do so as it was the best step I've taken in my entire life.
