Last week marked the start of our first UK Returners Programme at dunnhumby. We are delighted to be working in partnership with Women Returners on this programme which kicked off at the beginning of April with a virtual launch event (another first for us!) with fantastic support and participation from Denise Day, Sandra Stanley, and representatives from across our employee networks. We have welcomed four returners to our Technology & Science business for a five-month placement, within Engineering, Applied Data Science, Technical Account Management, and Data Consulting. They are talented individuals who have taken a career break of two years or more and are keen to return to the workplace in a mid to senior-level role and they bring a wealth of industry and personal experience to their new roles at dunnhumby. We rounded up their first week with a coffee and catch up and everyone was smiling! They had enjoyed their first week online, meeting their teams, completing their induction, training, and making their biggest step in returning to work. Congratulations!

Here at dunnhumby, we are proud of our Early Careers programmes, which provide annual opportunities to both graduates and undergraduates via our Internship and Future Leaders Graduate Programme. These programmes allow them our participants to experience the cutting-edge data science we use to generate brand new & fresh insights for the retail sector. We have openings each year within both our Technology & Science and Commercial teams and one of our current graduates, Navleen shares her experience of completing her Internship and explains why she was so excited about securing a place on our graduate programme and coming back to dunnhumby.
In Partnership with Women Returners and after a successful launch event, we are now delighted to open applications for our Returners Programme. This programme aims at re-introducing talented mid-to-senior level individuals back into the workplace after an extended break of two or more years. We have roles available in our Data Science and Software Engineering teams.
