We were not eligible for the benefits package since I was a contract employee.

The deductible is high but they do contribute the first 1000. Make sure you check into hsa or hra option.

The benefits package was great. Because they work for insurance companies they got really good prices on a plan with BCBS and your contribution was based off of your pay rate. Also provided dental, vision, 401k, life insurance, and disability.

There were no company perks. Insurance coverage was marginal, but expensive. Vacation time and sick time was average.

Decent health, dental, and vision plans provided via union, additionally, the rather generous amount of paid vacation time provided is a major plus. 401k plan is reasonable as well.
