Total Rewards at Express Scripts represent all of the investments we make in our people, in return for their contributions in serving our clients and patients and delivering on our mission to make prescription drugs safer and more affordable. We provide resources, rewards and recognition that empower our employees to maximize their performance, potential and financial success at Express Scripts.
Express Scripts has good benefits; not great benefits. Believe they are pretty standard in the industry (i.e., competitive). The worst things about this company: (1) the extremely poor package offered for position eliminations, and (2) their forced ranking (across depts) at review time.

ESI provides a good prescription benefit package. The medical package is primarily the consumer driven healthcare plan, which is becoming the industry standard.

There are really only 2 options - and they are both very expensive to the employee.

PTO is 4 weeks when you begin employment that accrues on a bi-weekly basis. It goes up after 3,5 and 10 years.

The benefits package was outstanding. The premiums were low and the high deductible plan included a $1000 HRA along with a HSA that was divided into payroll deductions. The pharmacy benefits included a generic medication program, where generic medications did not apply towards your deductible with a very low copay.

I'm not sure there is anything particularly great or bad about the benefits. It would be nice to have a difference in vacation days, sick days, and paid time off. With Express Scripts you accrue paid time off every 2 weeks and all time off is used with the paid time off.

The time off policy for 9+ years was 6 weeks which is a great benefit. Most companies require you to be there longer to get that much time off.
