The "typically benefits" package (insurance, 401k, vacation, etc) had always been acceptable to me.
What isn't typically considered in benefits though is the mental health of individuals. There is an obsessive demand for meeting 100% billability at all times. The mental stress and concern of always looking of your shoulder to make sure that there is more work for you had a deep negative impact.
Anyone interested in working for Jacobs MUST know that the companies HR Department and Corporate Compliance and Ethics Reps are there for the sole purpose of protecting the company and have no concern or interest in the employee. HR is to Jacobs is what Olivia Pope is to her clients on the TV show Scandal. Jacobs HR exists to clean-up the messes and to hide the real stories and illegal actions that might jepordize their status as a Governement vendor.
Despite any mission statement, core values, or any promises to wall street, the ever present number one goal, direction, mission and end-all-be-all priority is to ensure that Jacobs is NEVER blacklisted from the Government Vendor selection process.

Worst thing about their benefits is the coverage you get for the amount you pay. If you or your family have ANY health issues be prepared to pay high premiums or mostly out of pocket.

Paid time off is commensurate with time-in-service and is pretty competitive. Health insurance leaves a lot to be desired. Salary is good. There is no maternity leave per se, just short-term disability which you can use to supplement your PTO for maternity leave. Partial matching 401K seems to be industry-standard. Flex Spending Account which you can contribute to for childcare expenses up to $5K/yr pre-tax. AFLAC is offered. 3 days bereavement leave for death of immediate family member. Tuition assistance up to $5K/yr. Telecommuting is NOT an option.

Their benefits are pretty standard here, nothing extraordinary

Too expensive. No sick time, PTO only. Only 6 major holidays per year.

Vacation, 401(k), and employee stock ownership programs are all good. The medical benefits are quite expensive.

Sometimes seems like they're doing this for the first time.
