Job Training

The job training is intense and really prepares you to know a lot more than you actually need for the job.

When I was hired there was online training and classroom training with the EMR specific to my job site. The helped me a lot though I wish there was more practice with the EMR prior to working on my own.

It was very unorganized. I was told that if I was unable to make one session, I wouldn't be able to make it up, so I would be fired.

It's nice that they pay you to sit through it, but it's pretty tedious and consists mostly of a chief scribe, who is often unable to answer questions about the material, reading a Powerpoint. Would make more sense as an independent study with a test at the end.

You go through virtual lectures, a total of 21 hours, as well as training with the EHR software you will be using at your particular facility. You go through 7 floor training shifts, with the last being your clearing shift.

Training gives you the minimum of what needs to be taught in order to get into the hospital but it is not enough

Not very effective, training happens when you actually start the job in clinic

Very fast, seemed like the Chief Scribe didn't know much about the topics

They're job training is extensive and paid, filled with trade secrets, anyone that successfully completes training will be able to make it as a scribe
