Job Training

Job training, including learning to drive mail truck (Long Life Vehicle), Mail sorting, and mail delivery, last longer than a week. Much more is expected of you than is taught. If you have any kind of medical condition that hinders fast pace and/or very high stress I do not recommend working as a City Carrier Assistant. Especially in a large city.

Job training was rushed, briefly explaining everything in 5 days.

You get plenty of training. Every day is the same. Just more or less mail. So take it one day at a time.

Training is done on the job. Everything is pretty much easy to pick up on.

It was standard training, class room environment and on the job training.

Trainer was obviously and definitely selective in and how training was conducted - which was poorly by comparison.

you get trained, and paid for training, you may have 2 or more days of training.

Very thorough training. The training lasted about one month and was fully paid.

They a shadowing program and plenty of opportunities to attend management training to become a Postmaster.

Training is a huge priority!
