Pros

The company does have good wages and benefits

Cons

This company is full of liars and unethical individuals. I never do bad reviews of any company or product as sometimes we all may have a bad one time experience but after reading the untruthful response by ABC mgmt. to some very truthful reviews I felt compelled. They hired over 100 travel techs (OSIM's) over several months to fulfill the newly acquired Planet Fitness contract. We were led to believe that this was a permanent job if we indeed passed the exam at the end of the 1st week of training. The score to pass we were told during the interview process was 80% which was understandable. When we arrived to training (many others actually traveled in from different parts of the country) to pass score was dropped to 75%. After completing the Planet Fitness project we were brought back in and told we were going thru additional training and had to get a 90% on the exam at the end of the week. This was clearly done to get rid of nearly all the newly hired staff. Here's where they flat out lied and used us, and are still lying and engaging in unethical, inhumane behavior: First ABC contends that only 10 out of 22 people were dismissed from that 3/27/15 class. There was 26 people in that class which I have the roster list in a spreadsheet from ABC if they want to dispute. I personally can give the names of 18 people that was dismissed that day not 10 as stated by ABC mgmt. I have been told 2 or 3 more was terminated. By why lie about how many people was let go. There was another class that ended 4/3/15 where even more of us was let go . Next they increased the minimum score to a 90% to keep employment. They only did this to get rid of most people. Where in any profession would an 80 out of 100 not be good enough to keep an employee you have already hired, trained, and invested in unless you wanted to get rid of them. You don't have to score a 90% to pass the bar exam to be a lawyer. The training to take the exam was 4 days. The exam was 1st thing in the morning on the 5th day. How can you have those requirements giving someone 4 days of training. They contend they only taught us 10% of the software for Planet Fitness in a week but now we were having to learn an additional 70% of the software we didn't know in 4 days. That defies all logic and common sense. ABC contends that they could have hired a temp company to fill the jobs if they only wanted temporary employees. Again more lies. If they had used a temp company they would have had to define specific works hours and days for those employees. They had us working 21 straight days at times and most of us worked 12-16 hour days. A temp company would not have allowed that without ABC having to pay overtime. They also would have to pay the fees for the temp company as well as salary for the temps which would have been much more expensive. They're unethical behavior has far reaching consequences. They brought on people who had jobs and left those jobs thinking that they were moving to a better opportunity when they knew they was only hiring us as short term employees. Now some of us are without jobs and the additional stress this places on marriages and families can break some marriages and ruin some families. They have ruined some peoples lives with they're deceitfulness. They could have just told us upfront that this was temporary with the possibility of maybe becoming permanent, Most people would have still tried for the opportunity and all this bad thoughts of ABC would not exist. They even told us we would get $75 for baggage and travel fees home on that last trip but guess what we did not get that. This shows how they have no intention of treating people with basic common human decency. At no time during our initial training were we told we would have to come back for additional training with a exam that required 90% to pass after 4 days of so called training. Speaking of the training, they trained us that last week on functions of the software but then tested us on problem solving scenarios of the software. Again more deception and unethical behavior. Almost to a man everyone in that training were smart individuals, many with college degrees including MBA's so it wasn't like we failed because we were dumb but rather they constructed the exam so almost no one would obtain 90%. Again another class followed this week after us and the same fail and termination rate was similar to my class. That is no coincidence when that many people (all of whom have already been doing the job for the company) fail the exam with less than 90%. How ironic is it that 90% of the people failed to get a 90% unless they intended to reduce your workforce by 90%. Lastly, they added this 90% exam for the 1st time in company history no other individuals had ever had this requirement but all of a sudden when the Planet Fitness project is over, this requirement is implemented and also when many of these employees are about to reach their 90 day probation period. And yet instead of admitting the truth (which no one expects) they go out their way to defend themselves with continued lying. Oh by the way ABC Financial told us to lie to Planet Fitness management that we had been doing the job going on a year even though we had never done it before and had just started.

Pros

- Good Pay - Open PTO - Work from Home

Cons

- Most of upper management has been replaced in the last few years. This isn't necessarily bad, but shows how little ABC values experience. - Constant turnover in key departments. If you are selected to interview, ask your recruiter how long they have been at ABC. Ask everyone on your interview panel how long they have been with ABC. - It is okay for a company to focus on new products and growth, but ABC Management is 100% focused on new product development. Older products are languishing and buried in technical debt. - After many good employees have left ABC in the last few months, especially from the Little Rock Office, Management is just now starting to address attrition. For months, the loss of talent was seemingly ignored in favor of hiring new employees or contractors. - So much talent has been lost in the last few months. New employees struggle to learn the out dated processes. It is frustrating for everyone. - Check our Google reviews for insight into how we are viewed by our customers. - Expensive Medical Benefits offset the above average pay.

Pros

Could be a great place to start one's career, as profession jumping is encouraged and for those that are very adaptable and quick learning, could push one's career into new avenues.

Cons

There is no such thing as work/life balance. There is a mass exodus that has been going on from the company because management and HR cannot understand the issues. Almost every job is underpaid in some way or another, which wasn't always the case. The work life balance has always been an issue but the benefits, pay, and care management used to give to employees definitely offset the problem...but now this is no longer the case. The amount of sacrifice to one's free time, personal life, etc is never met with proper compensation. On top of all of this, the company seems to be falling apart at the seams, and the only way they are keeping afloat is by milking every employee for everything they can provide at minimum cost.
