Pros

Tons of overtime that has addl $ p/hr at times. Lots of growth potential

Cons

The training is a joke … trainers trying to make you think that ADT is a great company to work for and it sucks. The training teaches NOTHING and then they throw you on the floor and literally tell you fake it till you make it. You’re ill prepared for upset customers and trying to fix our equipment for them. Your micromanaged to death, you get no help or no additional training. 2 breaks and 30 minute lunch. Very strict time management. They really truly don’t care about the customers - their safety yes but as a customer as a whole nope. You can’t even use the restroom without getting ridiculed. The job requirements (aht n customer satisfaction) Is almost impossible to meet. The calls last forever - you can’t get help if you need it but you will hear from a sup if the call gets too long. It’s non stop back to back calls the entire shift. People don’t want to work for adt n this is why. Honest to god there’s calls on hold at 3am est. if it wasn’t for the $ thanks to the $39.00/hr (at times) overtime I’d be gone.

Pros

-Decent pay for an entry level position -Overall excellent managers and staff -Generally pleasant work -Lots of opportunities for overtime -On site cafe for breakfast/lunch, marketplace for snacks

Cons

-Workload is steadily increasing without any pay adjustments -Our departments have gotten merged and overhauled several times; the job description changes constantly -Hiring freeze caused more workload, layoffs, and quitting -Limited company mobility -Overhead all but ignored the COVID-19 crisis; when curfews started being enforced, they told us to ignore any legal enforcement and continue on to work unless explicitly told by legal authority to go back home. When the advice was to shut businesses down and keep group sizes to 10 or less, management handed out wipes and did nothing else. Remote work might be an option in the future, but as of 3/17/2020 (4,226 confirmed virus cases, 75 confirmed deaths in the US), ADT has not taken any action yet. Sick time will not be approved unless symptomatic and able to prove time taken is due to contracting the virus. Communication states in no uncertain terms that ADT intends to stay open throughout the entire epidemic, ignoring both national and international precedents and advice. I do not feel safe, and this is a glaring weakness in ADT's overhead management. They care more about profits than employee safety and well-being. -The food selection is poor
