If you are a referral specialist, you should stay at AIM for 3 years, max. There isn't much room for advancement. There are only 3 titles in the Glendale location - Referral Specialist (tiered I, II, III), Team Lead, and Manager. Your tasks will shift to learn new skills/products, but your pay stays the same. More work, same pay. Most team leads are not knowledgeable, they simply got the position because no one else applied. (mirco) Management is unapproachable; they don't work with you and the only time they want to talk to you is for negative performance or HR related issues. They don't hear us out, rather they are secluded in their cubicles micromanaging us through the work force management system. Don't be fooled by the start pay - the job can be extremely stressful without management caring about the folks in the front lines.

Promotions can be difficult depending on that team's management and tend to be based on personal opinion/preference as opposed to merit.
