Pros

free coffee, nice co workers

Cons

The management is horrible and are all hired because they were friends with someone else higher up. Training is inadequate, yet they tell clients they are being provided with highly trained BSA/AML professionals, most of which have never worked in the field before. Technology is horrible, slow computers, slow systems. Often times out of work, with no direction on what to do in down times other than to sit there doing nothing. The work is mindless and it causes morale to be low in the office, it's dead quiet and all you hear are keyboards clicking. Favorites are played very often and if they like you then you will be promoted, if not, you are going to be an analyst I for your time here. Pay is extremely low for the industry average. The benefits offered are expensive with high deductibles and nobody in the company was there to walk through open enrollment and explain the benefits. They set unrealistic production goals with clients, which are very hard to meet and you will be scolded if you do not meet them. Wiring all over the floor and every where in the office from the computers, which seems like a safety hazard. They do not want to invest in their employees and think everyone can be replaced from what i've seen.

You can likely do better.

Pros

If you just need a job for a year or less and you can afford being underpaid, the actual job itself isn't too bad. Can learn a lot while there about AML and more. Nice location in downtown phoenix - for now.

Cons

Glorified staffing firm is an overstatement since you basically can't freely apply to work at any of the clients. The model is cosourcing, with you getting paid less than a clients own employee gor the same job and expected to produce more at a higher quality level. You show up and get placed in one project or another, effectively stuck there unless you probe yourself very capable. Maybe you can get hired by the client via AMLRS but the salary offer they make are non negotiable. A few men do end up being very flirtatious with women quite regularly. How far it goes beyond that is unclear. Plenty of people dont engage in that kind of behavior, but no one really speaks up. Definitely easier to be male than female at this office. Don't drink with people, don't get too friendly with people, there are a few manipulative types and more that are big mouthed or gossipy.

Good Company

Pros

Management recently changed and they are now focusing on employee retention and development, so there have been more small employee benefits (i.e. raffles for baseball tickets, massages in office, etc.). The job itself is not terribly difficult once you get in a groove. The people that work there are very personable and will help you if you ask.

Cons

Pay is below industry average, work can get repetitive. It is a production based company, which is not everyone's cup of tea, but it is pretty easy to get used to. The type of analyst work, depending on what project you end up on, can be pretty mentally exhausting.
